Pillars – oil painting

A knife painting on 9×12 canvas board panel, painted during the time where the Mariana islands is still recovering from the supertyphoon disaster. No electricity on my place, and… at least there’s water to drink.

Photo taken inside my room using the sun as my light source and Ipad. My reference is a beach photo taken long time ago on Saipan.

Knives as a tool for painting is a nice feeling because I don’t have to clean regularly like the painting brushes that use mineral spirit or turpentine or even dishwashing liquid. Just a swipe of paper towel, the knife is clean! The only brush here is my signature.
